On August 26 and September 3, 2009, the Georgia Solar Energy Association (GSEA) proudly presented the First Annual Southern Solar Summit in Savannah, GA and Atlanta, GA, respectively. The summit was designed to give a broad range of participants a rich understanding of the technologies and incentives now in place to promote the adoption of solar energy in Georgia. The Savannah Summit was presented as a GSEA sponsored track within the Fourth Annual Georgia Environmental Conference. The Atlanta Summit was presented as a GSEA sponsored track within the GreenBusiness Works EXPO. Attendance at both venues was outstanding. Many notable national, regional and local leaders shared their expertise through panel discussions. Topics included: Solar Thermal Hot Water, Solar Photovoltaics, Solar & Utilities/Smart Grid, Government Solar Policy, Solar Training & Green Careers, Solar Economics, Solar Architecture & Built Environment, and Solar & Georgia State Policy. Thank you to our sponsors, speakers, volunteers and attendees who made the Summit possible and successful. We hope to see you at the Second Annual Southern Solar Summit in 2010
