Stories of Solar

The Southern Environmental Law Center recently collected a variety of personal stories from Southerners who have gone solar, to show how solar-friendly policies that unlock solar potential in the South can contribute to our economy and quality of life.

While Georgia has made strides in large solar farm development, additional steps are needed to develop a robust rooftop solar market.

Businesses like family farm White Oak Pastures in Bluffton are going solar to lower their energy bills as well as to be more sustainable and self-sufficient — an example of how solar has the potential to benefit Georgia’s farming industry and businesses around the state.
