Julie Hairston, Secretary
President, GigaWord Communications
Hairston heads GigaWord Communications, an Atlanta communications and public
relations firm. She specializes in sustainable products, and initiatives. She
holds an ABJ degree from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass
Communications at the University of Georgia. Before joining the ABOA staff in
October 2008, she was a staff writer with the Atlanta Journal Constitution. She
has been serving as the GSEA Communications Director since January 2011.
Norene Quinn, Operations Manager
Norene Quinn is the administrator for Georgia Solar and three other organizations through her company, Association Management Services. Mrs. Quinn assists with membership growth and outreach, event planning and logistics, revenue tracking and external communications. She is located at the Georgia Solar business office.
Barton Hodges, Systems Administrator
Barton Hodges is an information technology specialist, with over 12 years experience supporting small to mid-size businesses in the Atlanta area. Through his company, Euclid Networks, Barton offers professional and personalized IT services including proactive managed service plans, web design, tech support, and more.
Since 2006, he has worked with Norene Quinn and Association Management Services in order to provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to the Board of Directors of various Atlanta based professional associations. These associations have included Georgia Bio (GaBio), Financial Executives International (FEI), Georgia Association of Paralegals (GAP), Georgia Automotive Manufacturers Association (GAMA), and the Georgia Solar Energy Association (GSEA).
Barton is a graduate of Oglethorpe University with a dual BA in Psychology and Philosophy, and was recently awarded an MA, with merit, in Philosophy of Cognitive Science from the University of Sussex in Brigton, Sussex, U.K.
